The right candidate has to be very adept at Maths, have a good work ethic, be respectful, willing to learn and able to follow instructions. A sound knowledge of computers would also be an advantage.

This is an opportunity for a young person to learn from one of the best machinists in the area.  They will learn programming and running of Mazak CNC lathe, hydraulics and much more.

We have a ute that travels daily from Collie to Darkan for our workers if they don't wish to be located in Darkan.

Viridian Ag in Munglinup (Esperance) is a family run farm looking for two chaser drivers during harvest for 8+ weeks work commencing approximately 1st November 2020. You would be joining a team of five to harvest 6500 ha of wheat and canola. We are looking for students with tractor experience and chaser or harvester experience is highly desirable however we are willing to train the right person. Below are the key points you will want to know:

  • Chaser Bins chasing to 3 x New Holland CR9090 Harvesters
    • ‘Brand New’ Norrish Bin with Massey Ferguson 8650
    • Trufab Bin with Fendt Vario 930
  • If you have harvesting experience and are looking for a harvesting position we can definitely look at this also
  • We will provide training on the chaser especially if you have tractor experience but not chaser experience
  • $30-$40 an hour dependent on experience
  • Accommodation and all meals provided (no out of pocket expenses)
  • At least 8 weeks work starting approx 1st November

Glenelg Estate has a position available for the upcoming harvest with permanent employment available.

We are located south of Borden at the foot of the Stirling Ranges, one hour north of Albany. We are a family owned and run farming business on 5000 hectares.

Currently we run 2500 breeding ewes and fattening lambs through Lucerne, stubbles and a confined feedlot system. We crop around 3200 hectares of wheat, barley and canola along with oats for hay/silage. Running new modern machinery with GPS and controlled traffic farming practices.

Roles will include but not limited to tractor/chaser bin driving, general maintenance, grain carting, header driving, stock work, fencing, deep ripping and possibly seeding. You must be willing to work long flexible hours.

Fully furnished two-bedroom cottage available. Lunch and dinner meals provided during busy times of harvest and seeding. A driver’s licence and own vehicle is essential.

Excellent pay rate depending on experience.

Looking to employ someone on a casual basis with a full time position available to the right person. We are a mixed 8000ha farm north of Cranbrook, more crop than sheep but a few cows in between.
